Summary of Job Responsibilities

Senior level management role, responsible for ensuring the collaborative progression of concept planning, design development, tendering, installation, testing & commissioning, and handover of all end-to-end audio visual and associated ELV systems. Requires close coordination with MEP peers, to ensure all projects are delivered efficiently, to the highest quality and within budget from conception to handover.

Close collaboration with the appointed multi-disciplinary design and delivery teams is essential.  The design and delivery responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of a construction project that include but are not limited to: Design/planning/development/delivery, cost/commercial management, time management, quality management, and health & safety.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with consultants where AV/ELV interfaces are critical to the design coordination and delivery process.
  • Coordination with in-house Interior Design teams & consultants to ensure all relevant AV/ELV related works are fully coordinated with project Design Excellence principles.
  • Overview of AV equipment selection to ensure it meets/exceeds end user requirements whilst maintaining quality and staying within budget.
  • Review consultant design packs to ensure they achieve end user objectives.
  • Provide advice in relation to value engineering or alternative solution workshops as needed.
  • Assist the project team regarding the ergonomic placement of equipment.
  • Ensure AV designs are detailed and accurate, ensuring proper labeling of equipment, wiring, and diagrams.
  • Ensure accurate definition and labeling of all cables, patch panels, and receptacles in schematics.
  • Ensure new AV systems compatibility and integration with existing setup.
  • Assist the project team and external consultants in identifying potential installation and operational challenges arising from site constraints/existing systems.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review schematic drawings to ensure effective implementation of the design.
  • Inspect systems to verify that the approved design and functionality was achieved.
  • Attend/lead applicable meetings.
  • Reviews of consultant drawings throughout project lifecycle including design through to as builts.
  • Ensure Health & Safety principles of MBS are delivered project wide.
  • Ensure AV/ELV related project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately in the EDMS through appointed document controllers.
  • Go the ‘extra-mile’ to guarantee successful project delivery.
  • Possess good communications skills to deal daily with contractors, consult and key stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of local codes and construction practice in Singapore.
  • Provide advice during construction of the project and issue notices, clarifications, and further design documents as necessary and for the duration of the project.
  • Investigate site problems related to the consultant’s design documents and develop solutions, in cooperation with other professionals, to overcome the problems as appropriate.
  • Review all as built documentation and technical manuals for completeness.
  • Stay updated on the latest technological advancements and trends within the audiovisual industry.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in a Technology or IT discipline or other related Building Services field (Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical) is required.
  • Post Graduate Diploma (or similar) in Construction Project Management is desirable, but not essential.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in related fields and at least 5 years of experience working on technology infrastructure projects in a senior management capacity.
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing, construction management and AV/ELV services position within master programming.
  • Knowledge and experience of Design & Build, Construct Only, Management Contracting & Construction Management delivery models, obtained through a combination of project experience and education.
  • Must be able to confidently interact and communicate effectively with all necessary internal and external project parties, including the need to spend time overseas as part of design and delivery processes where necessary.

  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Aconex.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good command of English language
  • Basic CAD operation beneficial
