Job Responsibilities

Installation of Equipment

• Installation of desktop workstation, CCTV and other electronic equipment.
• Programming of desktop solutions, CCTV and other electronic equipment
• Laying of cables, wiring and data points
• Install new or replacement, data networking systems, CCTV and other electronic equipment.
• Inspect and monitor equipment after installation
• Terminate the equipment and networking systems.
• Documentation on Installation, Testing and Projects paperwork (ITP)

Test & commission electronic, data & computer equipment.

• Testing & commissioning.
• Test the wiring systems.
• Test the equipment
• Commission the equipment
• Documentation on Installation, Testing and Projects paperwork (ITP)

Maintenance of inventory & stock

• Take delivery of stock
• Store and arrange stock.
• Rotate and maintain stock
• Stock Count
• Packing of faulty equipment for disposal.

CCTV Routine Maintenance

• Maintain of equipment for Surveillance, Security, Gaming and the Regulatory sections to prevent failures and faults occurring through regular servicing
• Maintenance / Cleaning of desktop workstations, CCTV and other electronic equipment
• Maintenance / Cleaning of ELV, Server Rooms, Data Centers

Service, diagnose and repair equipment (RMA)

• Carry out fault finding on breakdown equipment and verify the causes or the fault.
• Conduct repair / replacement or rectify the faulty equipment.
• If faulty equipment falls under warranty period, perform Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) procedure.
• If faulty equipment falls out of warranty period and unrepairable, perform the Disposal procedure.
• Documentation on Service Reports and Work Orders.

Respond to breakdowns calls

• Work with Superiors to respond to equipment breakdown.
• Investigate and troubleshoot the cause of the equipment breakdown.
• Evaluate the extent of breakdown
• Repair or rectification of breakdown equipment.
• Must be comfortable to travel to local offsite offices for attending to fault / breakdowns calls.
• Documentation on Service Reports and Work Orders.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

• NITEC in Electronics / Computer Technology or higher.

 Experience

• Experience in Data Network, practical desktop hardware & software.
• Experience in CCTV systems and Camera setup.
• Experience in AutoCAD drafting

 Other Prerequisites

• Computer literacy preferably with Microsoft Word / Excel.
• Able to perform troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Willing to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and overnight, as well as on weekends and public holidays
